Agreement to Terms

By using TextJam, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree to these terms, you won't be able to use TextJam. TextJam is operated by TextJam, Inc., a Delaware corporation based in California.

What's TextJam?

TextJam is a collaborative writing platform that combines AI assistance with real-time collaboration. You can write, edit, and collaborate on documents with other users and AI models from leading providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta, and xAI.

Our service includes features like AI-powered editing, voice transcription, real-time collaboration, document sharing, and various writing tools designed to enhance your writing experience.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use TextJam. By using our service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the authority to enter into this agreement.

Your Account

You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. We use Google Accounts for authentication – you don't need to create a separate password.

You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account information updated.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use TextJam to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on others' intellectual property rights
• Upload malicious code or spam
• Harass, abuse, or harm others
• Share false, misleading, or harmful content
• Attempt to reverse engineer or hack our service
• Use our service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

Your Content and Intellectual Property

Your Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you create in TextJam, including text you write and AI-generated content created from your prompts. This is your intellectual property.

License to Us

To provide our service, you grant us a license to store, process, and display your content. This allows us to:

• Store your documents on our servers
• Display your content to you and users you share with
• Process your content with AI when you use AI features
• Create backups and ensure service reliability

Your Responsibility

You're responsible for ensuring you have the right to use and share any content you input into TextJam, including content you type, paste, or generate with AI. You agree to indemnify us from any claims related to your content.

AI Services and Content

AI Disclaimer

TextJam integrates with leading AI models, but we don't control the content they generate. AI-generated content may contain:

• Inaccuracies or factual errors
• Hallucinations or made-up information
• Potentially offensive or inappropriate content
• Biased or subjective viewpoints

Service Availability

AI service speed and availability may vary depending on third-party providers. Services may occasionally be slow or temporarily unavailable. We'll do our best to provide reliable service but can't guarantee constant availability.

Subscriptions and Billing

Subscription Plans

TextJam offers various subscription plans with different features and usage limits. Current pricing and features are available on our pricing page.

Billing and Cancellation

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. You can cancel your subscription at any time, and you'll retain access until the end of your current billing period. We don't provide refunds for unused portions of subscription periods.

Price Changes

We may change our pricing, features, or usage limits at any time. We'll give you at least 7 days' notice before any changes affect your subscription, giving you time to cancel before your next billing cycle if you prefer.

Document Sharing and Collaboration

You control access to your documents and can:

• Share documents with specific users (view, edit, or manage permissions)
• Create public links for broader access
• Make documents publicly viewable or editable

When you share documents, you're responsible for managing access appropriately. Other users' AI interactions with shared documents will be processed according to their AI usage.

Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using TextJam, you also agree to our data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

Service Availability and Limitations

We strive to provide reliable service but don't guarantee:

• Uninterrupted service availability
• Error-free operation
• Specific response times
• Compatibility with all devices or browsers

We may temporarily suspend service for maintenance, updates, or technical issues.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TextJam's liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in subscription fees in the 12 months before the incident giving rise to liability.

We're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, data loss, or business interruption, even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Disclaimers

TextJam is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We don't warrant that our service will meet your requirements, be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You can delete your account through the service. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.

Upon termination, your right to use TextJam ends immediately, but provisions regarding intellectual property, limitation of liability, and other terms that naturally survive will continue to apply.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms in the future. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or through the service. Continued use of TextJam after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by California law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in California courts.
